Guess what? Today, I planned my 18th birthday! I’ll be celebrating it on the 14th which is a Saturday because the 16th is a Monday and we all have classes then. My mom and I went to the hotel today to make reservations in this Japanese restaurant. As I’ve mentioned in my other posts, I won’t be doing anything extravagant. Instead, this is just a dinner with my close friends (we’re 10).
Anyway, I made an invitation for it and this is basically what it looks like. The actual poster thing has details and is not a square, but for the sake of keeping things private and just showing off this artwork, I’m only posting this.
Also, I watched 500 Days of Summer last night before I went to bed. It was beautiful! I loved it. I absolutely enjoyed listening to the narrator and all the inner thoughts of the characters. The scriptwriter must feel great having written such ingenious lines. I can’t believe I only saw this movie now. No wonder it had positive critical reception from Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB and other critics. I’m going to watch another movie now before bed! Let’s see what I have…
In other news, I still haven’t bought a sketch pad. I have other line-less notebooks lying around, but I want an authentic sketch pad with good paper so I can use markers on it too. Maybe I’ll buy one when I go to Ateneo tomorrow. They’re having a Mid-Autumn festival with the dice game, mahjong and other chinese-mooncake-related activities! Yay!
Speaking of which, I should probably head to my room now. It’s getting late and I need to recharge my batteries.
